Monday:

DHRP Symposium!!! :D Haha it was quite fun, except for the BSP talk -.- Rachel, Lydia and I were in the MEP talk or something... And we had to think of a plot for an OPERA then sing and act it out in front of the class. It was damn funny XD Our plot was like a mass dying session :D It goes something like 2 girls were in love with a guy, then when one of the girls found out that the another girl was in love with her guy, she got so jealous until she killed herself. Then when the guy found out that the girl died, he was so sad that he killed himself too. Then at last when the other girl found out that the guy had died, she got so depressed that she killed herself. Haha :D

So then we had to figure out what to sing. Ended up with the ferrero rocher song, you know, the background music for the ferrero rocher advertisements :) But it was quite fail when we presented cos when Lydia and I wanted to sing the ferrero rocher song, Frederick started singing Carmen -.- Damn funny! :D Oh and the guys group was the best larh haha :D

So then when it ended, we rushed to the hall thinking we were late for the BSP talk. End up we were early -.- The year 1s were still having their talk. BSP talk was boring, but I'm kinda interested to take up BSP. But I already have MEP, so my mum said that I might be too stressed out and my results will drop. So...I don't know whether I still wanna take... BUT I DON'T WANT MY RESULTS TO DROP!!!! D: Haha ok lols.

So that's the end of the symposium. During chinese period after that, WE GOT BACK OUT CHINESE EXAM PAPER!!!!!!!!!! D: Ahhh I did so badly :( But nvm I will work harder for EOYS and strive to get an A or A* :D

BAND! Played 2SM for sp. Heheh we were in tune :D Then we went out to teach Beatrice :) Jonathan damn fierce can -.- He was like...idk how to say -.- Anyways, it was damn funny :D Cos when Michelle clapped for Beatrice, Beatrice could play. Then when Jonathan clapped for her, she couldn't play. Haha we were laughing like siao!!! :D

Today:

SCIENCE TEST OMG!!!!!!!!!!! Ahhh I minus 2 marks alr cos of MCQ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! D: Then had LA summary test too. That was not too bad :) Lalala~ I hope tmr won't be my MEP performace... Or should I hope that there is? o.o Anyways, I love the song I'm playing :D

Botanic Gardens concert yesterday ROCKED!!! :D

So...Michelle and Rachel came to my house at 11.35pm.

Then we went to KFC at 11.50pm.

Didn't really want to eat KFC that day cos I was sick of fast food after eating them for the past 2 days...

But Eliss was already waiting there, so just follow them lor haha :D

Ate shrooms burger!! :D

Then at around 12.40pm, we started walking back to school.

Was damn funny on the way back haha :D

Then while talking to me, Michelle turned around and was suddenly like, "OMG!!!"

Then I turned around too, and also OMG!!!-ed

Cos our year 4 seniors were behind us!!! :O

LOL...

So we finally walked back to the band room...

fall-in blah blah...

Rehearsal was quite ok :)

Then at around 3pm, we boarded the bus to BOTANIC GARDENS!!! :D

I sat beside Michelle <3

On the way there, we saw a newly-wed couple taking pictures at the entrance of the Botanic Gardens -.-

Their umbrellas were sooo cute! :D

Finally reached Botanic Gardens after a super super long ride -.-

Or maybe that's what I think cos i didn't really do anything on the bus besides playing tic tac toe and talking to Michelle and daydreaming... -.-

The stage wasn't as big as I thought from far, but it's actually quite big when you get there.

Had dinner on a grass patch as a section <3

Almost spat my food out cos Chang Wei, who was sitting behind me and michelle suddenly said, "My egg got hair" -.-

Then me and Michelle laugh like siao haha.

Sat on the stage after that and did tuning and warm-up.

My dad video-ed the warm-up and tuning then had no battery for the last song LOLS -.-

The performance was YAY! XD

Last time year 4s performing with us sia :(

So then after the performance we packed up and left.

I almost slept on the bus -.-

Unload instruments, debrief blah blah blah.

Formed on 18 March 1967 as a Brass Band, it graduated into a Symphonic Band. With the base of instilling music, discipline, civic-mindedness, and team spirit, this band aims to also have public performances and overseas tours under their belt. The Dunman High School Performing Arts Group, in which the band plays a very prominent role, has been awarded the Sustained Achievement Award by the Ministry of Education, in recognition of its consistently outstanding achievements. It was also awarded the National Arts Education Award Silver in 2003 and Gold in 2006. In the 1999, 2001, 2003 and 2005 Singapore Youth Festival Central Judging for Concert Bands, the band won the Gold Award. In 2001, it was also selected as one of Top Five Secondary School Bands of Singapore. In 2005, the band won the Gold with Honours award. In 2007, the Senior High band members combined with the Sembawang Wind Orchestra, under the baton of their conductor, Mr Desmond Ng, participated in the 18th Australian International Music Festival held in Sydney and clinched the Gold award. In 2007 and 2009, both the Junior High and Senior High Bands were awarded Silver in the SYF Central Judging for Concert Bands. Mr Desmond Ng is the Resident Conductor of the band. He was appointed in 1997 and under his guidance, the band has made remarkable progress. Featuring tracks like Concerto Damore, Krommer Clarinet Concerto, Stand By Me and even tracks from Teresa Teng this would be Dunman High's first concert in the Singapore Botanic Gardens you dont want to miss! Hello I'm back from level camp! :D IT TOTALLY ROCKED!!!!!!!!!!! XD YAY! PEBBLES WE ROCK!!! :D This post is gonna be loooonnnngggg....

Day 1:

Lol I didn't go for day 1 cos I was sick :( Sad...

Day 2:

Went to the jetty in the morning. I met SHAO SHAN there!!!!!!! :D So we and a few other students going on that day chatted among ourselves while the teachers also chatted among themselves -.- Mr Lee bought like a whole big bag of snacks and tidbits for his group larh! He looked like Santa Claus carrying that big sack haha! :D No offence :)

So after a while, we boarded the ferry and left Singapore for Pulau Ubin. When we reached there we were like thinking whether to turn left or right at the entrance -.- Walked and walked and walked till we reached the conference hall then they instructors lead us to our groups. Apparently I was the only one that did not have an expedition on that day -.-

Spotted my group from the tents and I realised that they were doing Low-Elements and I wasn't even in my track pants!!! :( So in a moment of panic I changed in the tent and almost forgot to zip the door shut :X Actually the first person I saw while walking to the balancing thing was Clarissa cos she was on the balancing thing and she was so easy to spot HAHAH!!! :D Subsequently I met Qinghui, Michelle and Rachel. Then we did the balancing thing too and cleared it in like 5 min -.-

Then the balancing rope thing. That's not to bad I guess :) I shall skip to the 2 person balancing rope thing now :P Paired up with Clarissa. We were so fail larh haha :D We kept screaming and laughing until the whole rope shaking so we fell :D But it was damn fun ~

LOW WALL! :) This was quite fun! :D Initially when they tried to push you up from the bottom it was quite scary cos it's like you feel that you can't reach the hand above and you might fall. Then when you grabbed the hand above not scary le :) Lol.

HIGH ELEMENTS! I was so so so so so so FAIL :( Fell down halfway while trying to grab the next rope :( So sad larh D: I want to try it again and I want to complete it the next time I try it :(

Supposed to have water rafting after high elements...but it RAINED :( So it was cancelled D: But the rest of the activities were fun too :)

Now the worst part. Sleep! :( 6 ppl squeeze in one tent and I was so squashed I couldn't even move. Qinghui was sleeping beside me and she kept knocking my leg haha no offence :) Didn't really slept well. Slept. Woke up. Slept. Woke up. D:

Day 3:

Woke up at dunno what time and didn't bathe :) Then ate breakfast at the conference hall WITH AIR-CON! :D So shiok XD Ate nasi lemak and drank hot MILO! :D Then we went out and did all the stuff with the maps and compass and finally started off for the expedition.

First checkpoint was at some hill...puaka hill is it? :X Forgot. The view from there was awesome :D And our task was so easy. Just need to take a group photo there :) Oh and on the way there we came across a drink stall and the signboard -or wall?- said, "Y U SO LIKE THAT... BUY A DRINK LA...THANKS" omg so cool right? :D Haha you would never see a sign like that in Singapore! We took a group photo there too! :)

Second checkpoint was at a temple with a pond full of turtles :D So cute XD We were supposed to lure the turtles to us using food and take a photo with at least 10 turtles inside. Quite fail at first but we successfully took the photo eventually :D

Wanted to go to the third checkpoint after that but we overshot. So we walked back but our instructor, Joe, said that there would be a lot of people there so we decided to go there after lunch. Found a clearing and we settled there. Outdoor cooking was super fun! :D My group did ok I think :) Though we spilt some soup cos the rocks weren't stable.

After we finished eating, we cleared up and proceeded to the third station. But guess what? It started raining D: So we went back to the place we did our outdoor cooking and my group found a small shelter next to it. It was damn fun that time :D We were singing and blasting music from Joe's phone. Apparently there was Wifi there and Joe went on youtube and played the songs. We were damn high there :D

The rain stopped after a while but we already need to return to the campsite :( Didn't get to see the wild boar Jack D: Then on the way back Joe was telling us lame but funny but still very lame jokes :D It's too lame to be any lamer lols :D I think some he make up himself one lor :D

WE WERE THE FIRST GROUP TO REACH THE CAMPSITE WHEE!!! XD Finally got time to bathe! :D Oh then when we were queing up to bathe Joe and another instructor (I forgot the name :X) were gaying outside the female toilet LOLS. YOU GOT EAT KANG KONG BEFORE? GOT EAT BLACK KANG KONG ANOT? WANT TO TRY? OMG that was damn funny haha!!! :D

CAMPFIRE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D I think our performance was quite good :D PEBBLES ROCK FOREVER!!! XD The retarded dance was super funny :D Haha I even going high as I type this post lols :D Bad romance ~

OH AND WE GOT TO SLEEP IN THE CHALET THAT NIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!! :D Yay! I shared the bed with Alicia, Levi and Yue Jun while Lydia and Rachel slept on the floor. I think the chalet thing they already plan before that. Cos this morning when I went for the open house usher training one of the guys in my group, senior high one, said that they also slept in the chalet at the last day of their year 2 level camp at pulau ubin. Lols but anyway that night was so shiok :D But the air-con was freezing though. Oh and thank you Yue Jun for specially getting up at night to help us take the blanket from the cupboard! :D

Day 4:

Last day of level camp :( Woke up at forgot what time and went to have breakfast. Then had debrief. Then while waiting, Joe let us look at the pics from the other instructor Shu Juan's camera. Luckily no unglam pics of me :D But we didn't finish looking so I don't really know. Then we got so bored again and Joe suggested playing five stones -.- We used the pebbles on the ground. That was so fail too! :D But funny :)

Finally we parted from pebbles and our instructors and joined our classes :( The ride back to Singapore was so funny haha! :D Poor Joycelyn got splashed by the water so many times cos she was seating at the far end of the boat. Mr Lim was reading some chinese comic book haha! :D

Finally reached Singapore and took a bus back to school. And that's the end of Year 2'10 Level Camp :( Sad...I really miss pulau ubin and Pebbles and the instructors :( Bye :(

Had THREE tests today... D:

First, Chinese.

It was kinda...erm...ok...? But the searching for words with the given meaning was super hard :(

Next, Maths.

Actually that wasn't really a test...more like a pop quiz? But it's still graded. And anything that's graded to me is a test :) It was good though :D

Finally, MEP.

Argh omg this was bad Bad BAD!!! D: I studied so hard for it last night but when I got the paper and I saw the first question on baroque history, "What are the status of the baroque composers and what is the quality of the music they composed?" or something like that, I FREAKED OUT. I did study that but I didn't expect that kind of questions!!! D: But anyway, I just tried my best and wrote everything that came to my mind down on the testpaper. So it was kinda ok...but I still think I'll FAIL D:

After the test, I went up to class and realised that Clarissa, Joycelyn, Cheryl and Qing Hui were there too. Did a bit of maths until we got bored so I decided to follow Clarissa and Joycelyn down to the band room. Clarissa got sp, so me and Joycelyn brought our instruments back to class to practise :) Haha we are two hardworking people!!! :D

4.45pm. Michelle came to our class and all of us went down to the band room to wait till the senior high band leaves. Joycelyn and Elisabeth were happily playing with my tuner haha! XD It was so damn funny larh! :D They were trying so hard to be in tune! :)

We ended up starting the rehearsal at 5.20pm cos the senior high band were dismissed late and so we went in late. Had only 10min of practise wow. 10min. But we managed to play March 1 1/2 times, general salute 2 times and exordium 2 times (I think). My Ng said we were good! :D

Tuesday, April 20

Went to Towner Gardens School for cip today. Wasn't as bad as I thought. I was like so scared the students won't co-orperate with me and I don't know how to communicate with them. But anyways, I was posted to a pre-school class so it's kinda better than the senior classes. Cos the pre-school students there would be more 天真 :D

So the teacher introduced me the class, but I doubt the class even knows my name. The class size was really small. There were only 4 students in the class. So they were having music lesson then, which apparently was just listening to music from the radio. Then the teacher and I brought them to the toilet and I was asked to wait outside the girl's toilet for one of the students. And I saw Valerie, Levi, Lydia and the guys at the canteen while waiting -.-

The teacher showed the class some photos they took during lessons. Then it was filing time. I helped one of the boys in filing his worksheets. And omg he was really good in it :O I didn't even have to do anything but just tell him to open the file and take out the fastener. Then he managed to put in his worksheet on his own (actually with a little little bit of help from me) and closed the file. I think he was like the smartest and friendliest of the four. And he was really cute too! :D He kept smiling at me XD

The last lesson of the day was some therapy thing, where they go to the field to play with starch. It was quite fun helping the teacher take pictures of the students applying starch all over their bodies :) LOL the teacher even put ice cubes into one of the boy's diapers!!! :D But there wasn't really any big reaction from him :(

Then when I was in the midst of taking pictures of the teachers bathing the children (with the clothes on fyi -.-) cos the teacher asked me to, HAOZE -yes HAOZE- of ALL the people in the world, had to appear beside me -.- And he, of ALL the people in the world, had to see that I'm taking pictures of children bathing.

You should know the consequences thereafter... -.- I'm NOT gonna talk about it.

MEP theory test tmr... :( So much things to memorize!!! D: Still got chinese test tmr somemore :( Haiz...gonna chiong now. Actually I'm ALREADY chionging -.-

The Dunman High School Performing Arts Group, in which the band plays a very prominent role, has been awarded the Sustained Achievement Award by the Ministry of Education, in recognition of its consistently outstanding achievements. It was also awarded the National Arts Education Award Silver in 2003 and Gold in 2006. In the 1999, 2001, 2003 and 2005 Singapore Youth Festival Central Judging for Concert Bands, the band won the Gold Award. In 2001, it was also selected as one of Top Five Secondary School Bands of Singapore. In 2005, the band won the Gold with Honours award.
